Pro Tip
Code — Classification & Designation Interpreter
1: The Same Code Format Isn't the Same System
A six-digit number could be a NAICS code, an HS tariff code, or something else entirely depending on where it appears. Always note which system or document the code came from — the format alone isn't enough to identify it.
2: Codes Change on a Schedule
Many classification systems (NAICS, ISO standards, tariff schedules) get revised every few years. If a code seems outdated or doesn't match what you'd expect, check whether a newer version has replaced it before assuming it's wrong.
